SUMMARY / PRESENTATION

Today, more than ever, the world of artistic creation is immersed in an accelerated and unstoppable succession of trends and artists whose knowledge is essential to understand the art of our times. However, a reflexion and evaluation of the history of art and its classical sources seems necessary in this process, because they are more present in today’s art than it may seem. This course is built around this topic. Our objective is to assert the importance of a series of artists (starting from the Renaissance) whose creative personalities marked their different chronological and stylistic contexts. It also aims to check its influence over the most recent creations, of which they are constant and unquestionable references.
