Schoolchildren ‘7+1
The exhibition ‘7+1 PROJECT ROOMS' brings together the work by eight outstanding international artists featuring seven proposals in the exhibition spaces on the ground floor, and one on the Museum's façade: hence, the title of the exhibition. Each work of art has been designed for or adapted to the specific space it occupies in the museum depending on whether they are new or existing works.
Parallel to this show, from January 2009 onwards MARCO's Educative Department offers a programme of guided visits and workshops for schoolchildren about the exhibition ‘7+1 PROJECT ROOMS', which brings us closer to the works by these 8 artists using 7 different - albeit related - points of view, culminating in a final proposal developed in the workshop space, the ‘Laboratorio das artes'.
